Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the WalletLoop mobile application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and WalletLoop ("we," "our," "us"). Together with our Privacy Policy, they govern your access to and use of the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use WalletLoop. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, a "child" is any individual below 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly process personal data of children without verifiable parental consent.

By using the Service, you represent that:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
• Your use of the Service does not violate any applicable law or regulation.
• You are using the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3. Your Account

3.1 Registration

To use most features of WalletLoop, you must create an account using your phone number, email address, or Google account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date.

3.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for safeguarding your authentication credentials and your in-app PIN.
• You agree not to share your account, PIN, or one-time codes with any other person.
• You must notify us promptly at privacy@walletloop.in if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these security obligations.

3.3 One Account Per Person

You may maintain only one personal account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits, free-tier restrictions, or any other Service limitation is prohibited.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose, including money laundering, fraud, or tax evasion.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the application.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without our written permission.
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or attempt to circumvent any access controls.
• Upload or transmit any content that infringes any intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Use the Service to track financial activity that is not your own without the consent of the other party.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.

5. Permissions and Data Collection

5.1 SMS Access

With your explicit consent, WalletLoop requests permission to read SMS messages on your device for the sole purpose of detecting financial transaction notifications. SMS content is processed entirely on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how SMS data is handled.

5.2 Notification Access (Android)

With your explicit consent, WalletLoop can read push notifications from a pre-defined list of UPI and banking apps to auto-detect transactions. Raw notification text is processed on-device only. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5.3 Revoking Permissions

You can revoke any permission at any time through your device's system settings. The affected feature will stop working, but the rest of the Service will continue to function normally.

6. Subscription and Pro Tier

WalletLoop offers a free tier with core functionality. Additional features may be available through a paid Pro subscription ("WalletLoop Pro").

6.1 Billing

• Pro subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store at the price displayed at purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can cancel auto-renewal at any time through your Play Store or App Store account settings.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

6.2 Refunds

Refunds are subject to the policies of Google Play Store and Apple App Store. We do not directly process refunds; please contact the respective store. We may, at our discretion, provide additional support if you have a billing concern — reach us at hello@walletloop.in.

6.3 Free Tier Promise

Core expense tracking, SMS auto-detection, and basic insights will remain available in the free tier. We will never paywall features users have come to rely on without offering a reasonable alternative.

7. No Financial Advice

• Spending insights, debt projections, and budget recommendations are informational only and based on the data you provide.
• Categorization of transactions is automatic and may be inaccurate. You should verify and correct categorizations as needed.
• The Service does not assess creditworthiness, recommend loans, or facilitate any financial transaction.
• Always consult a qualified professional before making significant financial decisions.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep WalletLoop available 24/7, but the Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or factors beyond our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and are not liable for any disruption.

We may, from time to time, release updates, modify features, or discontinue certain functionality. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of significant changes via the app or email.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Rights

The WalletLoop application, including its design, code, logos, trademarks, and content (excluding your data), is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal purposes only.

9.2 Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into WalletLoop (your transactions, debts, budgets, notes, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

9.3 Feedback

If you provide us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us the right to use that feedback freely without compensation or attribution.

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may stop using WalletLoop at any time by uninstalling the app. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, use the in-app option (Settings → Data → Delete Account) or contact us at privacy@walletloop.in. Account deletion is irreversible and will permanently remove all your data from our servers within 30 days.

10.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

• You violate these Terms or our Privacy Policy.
• Your use of the Service exposes us or other users to legal liability.
• We are required to do so by law or a court order.
• We discontinue the Service entirely.

Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice before suspending or terminating your account, and you will have a reasonable opportunity to export your data.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will meet your specific requirements.
• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• Transaction parsing or categorization will always be accurate.
• Any data stored will be free from loss or corruption.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) ₹1,000.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party right (including privacy and intellectual property rights).
• Your use of the Service in a manner that violates applicable law.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Service, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or email at least 30 days before the changes take effect, and the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WalletLoop with respect to the Service. They supersede any prior agreements, oral or written, between you and us.
