The method

Ten seconds a day.
One decision a month.

WalletLoop works because it asks for almost nothing. This page is the whole method — what to do on day one, the tiny daily habit, the weekly glance that finds money, and the five calm minutes at month-end.

Six steps, honestly small

Set it up once. Then let the loop run.

The whole ongoing cost: about ten seconds a day, two minutes a week, five minutes at month-end. Here is each step — and exactly what it buys you.

Step 01 · day one — ten minutes

Grant one permission. Approve what enters. Teach it your top three.

Sign in and grant SMS access — that’s the one permission that matters, and the reading happens on your phone. Your last 30 days assemble on the spot, sorted and de-duplicated, and nothing enters until you approve it. Skip freely: a skipped payment never asks again.

One permissionYou approve every entrySkips never re-ask
The three moves that pay forever

Rename your top two or three merchants — correct it once, it’s remembered forever. Set your monthly income, so the pace chip means something. Add your cards by their last‑4 — the statement scan pre‑fills each card’s outstanding, so day one starts from the truth.

Step 02 · every day — ten seconds

Pay like you always do. When the banner appears, tap Confirm.

Buy the chai, pay the auto, split the dinner. The bank’s SMS lands, WalletLoop reads it on your phone, and a banner appears with the amount, merchant and category already filled. One tap — Confirm. Wrong guess? Edit it once; it learns, and next time it’s right. That is the entire daily cost of a complete money picture.

Step 03 · once a week — two minutesPRO

One glance at pace. One sweep of the radar.

Around day ten, the Home pace chip starts meaning something: ahead of last month, or behind — while there’s still time to matter. Give the subscription radar one sweep; it lists every auto‑debit it has seen, and the ones you don’t recognize are exactly the ones to cancel. Keep budgets to two or three, on your real leak categories.

Pace vs last monthEvery auto-debit listed2–3 budgets, not ten
Why so few budgets

A budget you ignore teaches you to ignore budgets. Two honest ones on your leak categories — for most people that’s food delivery and shopping — beat ten abandoned ones. WalletLoop nudges once at 80%, calmly, and that’s it.

Step 04 · the card loopPRO

Never memorize a card due date again.

Every swipe attributes to the exact card as it happens, so the outstanding is always current — not a month‑old guess. When the statement SMS arrives, WalletLoop reads the bill and the due date by itself. Pay from any app you like; one tap applies the payment, the outstanding drops, the reminder clears.

What forgetting costs

Credit‑card interest is some of the most expensive money in India — revolve one ₹18,000 bill for a while and the interest line quietly crosses ₹2,100. Interest is a forgetting tax. The loop removes the forgetting, so paying in full becomes the default.

Step 05 · month-end — five minutesPRO

Read the Wrap. Make one decision.

On the 1st, the Month Wrap lays out the shape of the month — where it went, what moved, what quietly worked. Read it like a story, not a spreadsheet. Then make one decision for next month: cap one category, cancel one thing, shift one habit. Not five. One decision made is worth five intended.

The one-decision rule

“Food up ₹2,300 — all of it after 10pm” is a decision waiting to happen (the kitchen closes at ten). “Try to spend less overall” is not a decision — it’s a mood. The Wrap is built to hand you the former.

Step 06 · when something’s off

Correct it once. It stays corrected.

A merchant guessed wrong? Edit it once — every future payment files itself right. Moved money between your own accounts? Mark it a Transfer so it never counts as spending and your totals stay honest. A bank’s SMS not detected? Report the format from Settings — everything personal is stripped on your phone, and only the blank format reaches us.

The whole method

That’s it. That’s the method.

No spreadsheets, no Sunday sessions, no discipline required. The visibility does the work — and the numbers show up while there’s still time to act on them.
